Maki’s Art is run by me, Maki.

I run an Origami / Art / Craft small business, and I also make handmade origami jewellery too.

All of my jewellery is hand folded by me, and coated with resin to set it, and to make it water resistant. Everything is made with my hands. I love sharing Japanese culture through my art work, for everyone to enjoy.

My passion for Origami comes from my grandmother. When she was 92 years old, she would fold Origami cranes everyday - morning to night - and this is my memory of her.

Also Japanese origami crane has special meaning. They can bring you happiness, good luck and a long life. Check out my Instagram for me

Unique and beautiful design

All of my handmade jewellery pieces are made with Japanese washi paper. All designs are unique and beautiful, and because the patterns on the paper are so special, each pair of earrings is unique.

It means every pair of my handmade origami jewellery is the only one like it in the world!
